Con apenas dos ediciones, Children’s & Family Emmy Awards está sacando a relucir lo mejor del talento iberoamericano. Apenas el año pasado, Maya and the Three de Jorge Gutiérrez y Madrid Noir de James A. Castillo formaron parte de un palmarés histórico. Los éxitos continúan rumbo a la segunda edición del evento, ya que Spirit Rangers de la mexico-chumash Karissa Valencia está entre los principales contendientes animados con siete nominaciones. Sólo una detrás de Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur que encabeza la lista animada con ocho.

Sobre el anuncio, la artista compartió en sus redes que “estábamos en una sesión de color para el final de la temporada 3 cuando recibimos la noticia. Estoy muy orgullosa de nuestro equipo. ¡Qué manera tan excelente de comenzar el mes NAHM” (Mes Nacional de la Herencia Nativa Americana por sus siglas en inglés).

A pesar de la satisfacción, las nominaciones se dan en un ambiente de incertidumbre ya que la ceremonia no tiene fecha confirmada, presuntamente por la huelga del sindicato de actores en los Estados Unidos.
